I’m back and invigorated. The November election has come and gone, and the lefties are flexing their muscles. Pelosi-America is here and ain’t it grand?
Regarding the election, it was no big surprise. The GOP was held accountable for their sins. The LEFT will analyze the results and come to quite different conclusions than I. The GOP lost this election because they lost their way. The natural constituency of the present GOP is supposedly conservative, fiscally and socially, but the majority of Republican candidates are not. This little problem will have to be rectified before Pelosi gives up her crown. Conservative Americans are not about to trade one set of big government morons for another set of big government morons. Either the party and its standard bearers have to change or conservatives will seek a new political home.
Yes, this election was somewhat of a referendum on Iraq. Liberals, and true non-interventionist conservatives, voted gleefully against supporters of Bush’s foreign policy. However, the GOP would have carried the day, if only they had a record of fiscal responsibility and true conservative values. The RIGHT was not sufficiently energized to stomach the globalist ideology and big government philosophy of Mr. Bush and the neocon swamp rats.
What now? I doubt Pelosi and the rest of the Left Coast freaks will attempt to complete their socialist-degenerate paradise before the presidential election cycle. They will probably be satisfied to ride the crest of anti-Shrub sentiment, hoping to solidify their Congressional gains in ‘08, and add the new resident of the Oval Office as the Big Brother or Big Sister on their upcoming propaganda posters. At this point, I’d give even odds that they will be successful. However, I’m hoping that these liberals do what liberals do best, and show their true hatred of our American system before the primaries begin. That might be our only hope.
