The Axis of Evil Goes Nucular

By JBC | October 10, 2006

mescotIs the world safer since George Bush took office?  Let’s look at his three favorite targets:  Iran, Iraq, and North Korea.

Iraq was once under the thumb of Saddam Hussein.  He was an ugly despicable despot, but posed little threat to Joe and Jane in Topeka.  He talked big and gained the adoration of Sean Penn and like-minded morons, but was of little significance.  Now that we have removed George HW Bush’s nemesis, more than 2,500 brave Americans are dead and billions of US taxpayer dollars have been flushed down a sandy toilet, with trillions more to follow.  No democracy will flourish in Baghdad once we have departed, and thousands of terrorists will have cut their teeth on the slaughter of fleshy American targets.  We have turned Iraq into a genuine threat.

Kim Jong Il, the Pint-Sized Pervert, is the Asian Castro.  While not quite reaching the status of the Chain-Smoking Communist Dwarf of China, he achieved greater reknown under George Bush II.  He was able to finagle millions of dollars and many free passes from Billy Bob Clinton and Madeline Not-So-Bright, funding the “nucular” material that now threatens our families and friends.  While Bush was quick, and quite correct, to point out the ignorance of the previous administration, he did little to correct it.  While allowing our soldiers to become mired in the quicksand that is Iraq, he wasted few of his little grey cells to solve the problem with Korea.  That was a terrible blunder.  North Korea is now a force to be reckoned with.

The Little Dictator from Iran is next.  His North Korean trading partner beat him to the atomic goal line, but friends are friends, right?  Will “nucular” material find its way to Tehran via the Korean “peninshuler”?  Bush has even assisted the little tyrant by wiping out his next door enemy.  The Iranians are now free to target the real enemies in the region, Israel and the US.  If Ahmadinejad obtains nuclear material or weaponry from Korea, or is able to produce them domestically, somebody is in big trouble.  There seems to be little reason to doubt that they can achieve it.  If a Miniature Perv from North Korea can do it, anybody can.

Before Bush took office, the Axis of Evil was a mythical tiger.  Now, it is a real threat.

Agree but what next? Probably the greatest concern and threat is that some wacko will get their hands on a nuclear device. It is one of those situations that are unthinkable. It is why friends are better than enemies and incredibly good intelligence services and diplomacy matter so much. We have those people but are they being listened to? I think of Richard Clarke.

ps the “about” is missing or in construction.

Well, the “what next” is a difficult one. However, I believe that we should leave the Iraqis to solve their problems. Democracy will not “thrive” there, especially under the American thumb. We should do some damage control, strengthen the government as much as possible…and then get the hell out. Iran should be put on notice…start working toward the “bomb” and we’ll destroy your facilities. We should also destroy North Korea’s launch platforms now, and continue to apply pressure until they come back to the table, drop their atomic programs and agree to play nice. Interventionism and nation-building do not work, however, a few well placed munitions solve the problem of overly-aggressive dictatorial punks….just look at Khadaffi. He plays nice, thanks to Reagan.
